Sri Lanka have announced a 22-member squad for the two Tests against West Indies.
There was no place for Lahiru Thirimanne, Wanindu Hasaranga, Niroshan Dickwella and Dasun Shanaka who all featured in Sri Lanka's previous Test series against Bangladesh earlier this year. Dickwella is serving a ban for breaching the bio-bubble in England earlier this year.
Instead, there have been call-ups for some of Sri Lanka's stars in the recent T20 WC including the likes of Charith Asalanka, who finished as the leading run-getter for Sri Lanka in the tournament, and pacer Dushmanta Chameera, who had missed their previous Test series due to family commitments.
The spin attack too bears a revamped look with the inclusion of left arm wrist spinner Lakshan Sandakan along with Lasith Embuldeniya, who returns after an injury.
The first of the two Tests in Galle begins on November 21.
The other changes from their previous squad include calling up Minod Bhanuka, Kamil Mishara, Chamika Karunaratne, Suminda Lakshan and Chamika Gunasekara
