Once Sydney had that Bash Boost Point, there was only academic interest remaining in the game as Stars were knocked out and Sixers were ushered to the top of the table. Towards the end, Christian and Silk played in a clinical manner and reminded the other teams as to why the Sixers will be prime contenders for the tourney. Stars on the other hand have wrapped up a campaign where they never got started. And again today looked lost like Rabbits in the headlights. They never went hard and the Bash Boost point was not too much for the Sixers. The clarity is what deserted them. The league stage is done and dusted and Sixers have set up a date with Perth. The winner gets a direct entry. The loser though will be going through a round of musical chairs with teams finishing third, fourth and fifth for a shot at the finale. That is it for the day. This is KAD signing off on behalf of Rishi Roy and Praveen! Ben Dwarshius | Man of the Match (4-1-27-3): It was a bit of an interesting one, nice for us to get teh one point and finish the job. The Stars had to get full points and they would come out hard, so getting Stoinis early was crucial. I could improve in a few stages, but I'm happy with the 19 wickets I've got through the tournament. We have a nice family in the dressing room, get along rather well with each other. We'll have a couple of days to celebrate, and then get ready for the Scorchers. 19.5 Stanlake to Christian, FOUR , Sixers win a thriller with a ball to spare! Christian got a top-edge and the ball went fine for a four. Christian ends with a match winning 49. How many times does he do this? He is superb! They call him the Trophy magnet for nothing. Some serious finishing skills. The Stars have been knocked out, they already were after Sixers managed to steal the Bash Boost Point 19.4 Stanlake to Silk, 1 run, two needed now! Short ball, slower, Silk waits on it and pulls the ball down into the on-side for a single. The man at long leg mopped it up. Maxwell and Stanlake have a confab. Some field changes? The two batters also have a mid pitch word to each other 19.3 Stanlake to Christian, 1 run, too high! Is it? Not really. Stanlake gets away as Christian drags it somehow into the on-side for a single. 3 needed now 19.2 Stanlake to Christian, SIX , home run! Christian has smoked that into the upper tier. That was short, Christian got hold of it and pulled it over deep square for a sixer. Huge hit indeed. 4 needed now 19.1 Stanlake to Christian, no run, shortish, slowish, Christian looks to steer it and misses.
