Tomorrow we have Jaffna Stallions taking on Galle Gladiators. Same venue, same time. Do remember to join us for that. Until next time, goodbye and good night. Cheers!! Dinesh Chandimal | Player of the Match : It was a good game of cricket. I am happy with the way I played. I played a tournament in Galle and that helped me. I can't go for the big shots straightaway, so it is better I open the batting in this format. Thanks to Angie (Mathews) and the management for trusting me as an opener. I just want to look at the wicket for the first, two overs and then look at capitalizing in the powerplay. Credit to the lower-order batsmen for making great contributions too. Angelo Mathews| Winning captain: We didn't really panic because we knew the finisher (Udana) is in and he showed us what he is capable of. It was a bowlers nightmare and it was a fantastic wicket to bat on. Gurbaz and Perera batted well and our bowlers pulled things back slightly after the 10th over, but we also knew we could chase the target if we get a good start. Dinesh was fantastic and Isuru was good with the bat and ball and it was a good team effort. Kusal Perera | losing captain : It was a tremendous game. We will try to get back strongly. We had some momentum while batting, but you need to take calculative risks in this format. So have to get back and talk to the management and sort it out as soon as possible (about Irfan Pathan's hamstring injury). 00:26 local: Phewf! What.A.Game. So often, fielding gets talked about in the T20 format and the kind of impact it can have in high-scoring games. The Tuskers were far more disciplined with the ball than their counterparts, but fielding proved to be the major difference in the end. They not only dropped a couple of catches, but also conceded around 5-7 boundaries due to poor fielding techniques and half-hearted attempts. That said, credit to Udana for redeeming himself with the bat after a mediocre outing with the ball and the all-rounder held his nerve in the superover to seal a thrilling win for his side Chandimal set a solid base and at one point it looked like the Kings would cruise to victory but Naveen-ul-Haq's game changing over where he dismissed Chandimal and Thikshila de Silva put the brakes. Mathews fell cheaply, Pradeep then got the dangerous Russell too, but Qais Ahmad hit back with three fours to lift the Kings and Udana took charge in the final over. Ball 6: Udana to Perera, 1 run, that's it. Colombo Kings seal the superover. It was full and well wide of off, Kusal Perera biffs the loft but could only get it as far as deep extra cover. Tuskers 12/0 Ball 5: Udana to Gurbaz, 1 run, slower and fuller outside off, Gurbaz slices the drive to deep cover. Tuskers 11/0 Ball 4: Udana to Gurbaz, no run, another shuffle dance from Gurbaz and in the process of shuffling across, he moved a little too far and that prompted the umpire to deem it as a non-wide delivery despite Udana slipping it down the leg-side. This should have been a wide, an extra run and ball for the batting side. Tuskers 10/0 Ball 3: Udana to Gurbaz, SIX , that's smoked outta here! Another full pitcher and Gurbaz gets under it to marmalize it deep into the long-on stands. Tuskers 10/0 Ball 2: Udana to Gurbaz, FOUR , smashed! Full and wide of off, Gurbaz loads up on the back foot and flays it in the gap between deep backward point and deep extra cover. Tuskers 4/0 Ball 1: Udana to Gurbaz, no run, poor from Gurbaz! Shuffles a long way across and misses out what would have been a juicy full delivery outside off. Was looking to scoop, but got nowhere near the ball. Tuskers 0/0 Right then! Isuru Udana will bowl for the Kings, Mathews is busy setting the field. He now signals to the dug-out to bring out the towels to wipe the dew off the ball. Tuskers' openers Kusal Perera and Rahmanullah Gurbaz amble out to the centre. Third man and fine leg are inside the ring, deep backward point, deep mid-wicket and deep extra cover in place. Off we go... 00:09 Local Time, 18:39 GMT, 00:09 IST: 16 is a really handy total in the Super Over. Pressure on the Tuskers. Udana to bowl for the Kings. the Tuskers got him early in the Super Over, but they lost the plot to Russell and Mathews. Ball 6 : Pradeep to Russell, 2 runs, low full toss, drilled to long-on, just two. Kings 16/1 Ball 6 : Pradeep to Mathews, 2 wides , the wide yorker well outside off stump, Russell calls through for a run as the ump stretches his arms. Kings 14/1 Ball 5 : Pradeep to Mathews, FOUR , low full toss, Mathews smashes it over mid-wicket, handy hit that. Kings 12/1 Ball 4 : Pradeep to Russell, leg byes, 1 run, low full toss on the left boot, they take a run. Kings 8/1 Ball 3 : Pradeep to Russell, SIX , short ball and Russell pulls it over backward square leg. Relief in the Kings dug out. Kings 7/1 Mathews in, not Chandimal. Load More Commentary
