After a couple of pretty dull games, this one should kick things off nicely over the next week. So until we see you next for round two, on behalf of us, ta ta!! Shadab Khan | Winning captain: We had depth in the batting, but that doesn't mean we take it like this everyday. We were a bit rusty given that it was our first match. Mental toughness comes into play in such situations, as was the case with Faheem. After winning the first match you get a lot of confidence. I am playing competitive cricket after a while, so there was pressure and hopefully I'll do better in the next game. Lewis Gregory | MoM: It was a fantastic start with Hales, but we kind of lost our way in the middle. We were always good with the run-rate so it was important we didn't do anything silly. We played a practice game here a couple of days ago and the outfield is rapid. Thankfully a few of my shots went in the gaps. The bowling pulled it back at the end and that helped us with the bat. Mohammad Rizwan | Losing skipper: The way we wanted to end the innings, that didn't happen. We were 10-15 short. Balance of the match swung towards both teams but we were 10-15 short. We capitalized on the powerplay and so did they. This is cricket, it is a part of the game what happened to Tanvir. He is our best player and he can defend 6-7 runs in an over as well. Alex Hales: (On what was discussed at the innings break) Top six take responsibility, we didn't quite do that. We bowled really well to keep them to a slightly below par total on a pretty good pitch. Really good win considering that we weren't at our best with the bat. The all-rounders got us over the line really well. There is expectation, that comes with the overseas players. I came from the Big Bash to here last year and had a pretty good season with Karachi. I am used to playing in different conditions around the world and that's something I enjoy. Each country poses different challenges. The last two years, he (Gregory) has been brilliant, particularly at the death and also his skills in the middle with the ball. He's a great signing for us. 22:40 Local Time, 17:40 GMT, 23:10 IST: They might've won it with an over left, but this was seriously close. At one stage with one-run, three-wickets collapse in the middle stages, it nearly looked lost for Islamabad. But Faheem started the counter-attack after the strategic time-out, and then after he fell to a pretty accurate Carlos Brathwaite, Gregory took over the mantle, played sensibly, kept finding those boundaries to keep the asking rate in check and farmed the strike really well. And then with an equation of needing 20 off the final two overs, the super-experienced Tanvir found the worst moment to miss his lengths, and Gregory made sure he killed the contest in four balls. Here come the presentations .. 19.1 Sohaibullah to Gregory, wide , short, just over head high and that's some way to deny Gregory a well-deserved fifty.
