Hobart Hurricanes vs Brisbane Heat, 55th Match
Hobart Hurricanes won by 2 runs
17:02 Local Time, 06:02 GMT, 11:32 IST: 121 to chase, the Heat were strolling along and 102 for 4 after 16 overs, needing 19 from the final 4 overs - two of which were power surge overs, they had everything on a plate and they've somehow bungled that up big time. The top-order were blown far in no time, they were reduced to 30 for 4, but Hain and Pierson then combined to add 73 for the 5th wicket - but as they reached the doorstep of victory, they lost both batters, panic set in and they fumbled and did so very badly. Faheem struck in the 17th over dismissing Hain, Ellis bowled the 18th and removed Pierson. Bazley couldn't just get the big blows far in the batting surge (19th and 20th over). His partners struggled to rotate strike and Tim David held his nerve to ensure that the 56th and final game of #BBl12 isn't a dead rubber. So, as things stand - Heat are through, but their winning run has ended. They can still finish 4th, but a Sydney Thunder win will push them down to 5th. On the other hand, the Canes will watch the final game keenly and will hope that the Stars do them a favour. All eyes then on the final league game of the season, starting in just over two hours. Switch tabs and enjoy all the action. For now, cheers and bye..
BRH: 118-8 after 20 overs
19.6 Tim David to Bazley, 1 run, Canes win , Canes win from nowhere and they're still alive in #BBL12 . How did this happen, not many can fathom such a poor chase in the final few overs. Very full and just outside off, Bazley drags the turn to mid-wicket and will get only a single. Canes win by 2 runs
19.5 Tim David to Bazley, no run, very full and just outside off - Bazley backs far and misses the hoick. 4 needed off the final ball
19.4 Tim David to Bazley, SIX , thumped , a high full-toss and Bazley has deposited that high and over mid-wicket, 4 needed off 2 balls
Spencer Johnson, right handed bat, comes to the crease
19.3 Tim David to Bazley, out Kuhnemann Run Out!! It's turning out to be an absolute disaster for Heat - a third dot ball and a wicket as well - yorker length delivery outside off and Bazley squeezed that to the left of the bowler - both batters begined off, but Bazley stopped as he saw David tumble and make the stop, forcing Kuhnemann to sacrifice himself. Kuhnemann run out (Tim David) 0(4)
Tim David to Bazley, THATS OUT!! Run Out!!
19.2 Tim David to Bazley, no run, 10 off 4 now , yorker length delivery on off and Bazley can only squeeze an under-edge to the on-side

Tim David [1.0-0-6-0] is back in the attack
Now, how did we come to this? 10 needed off the final over - Bazley is a big-hitter and he has the advantage of batting in the surge - Tim David to bowl the 20th for the Canes. They need to win, can David be the hero? The wicket keeper is slightly back
BRH: 111-7 after 19 overs
18.6 Joel Paris to Kuhnemann, no run, this is exceptional stuff from Paris - full-toss on the pads and it's flicked to deep mid-wicket - Bazley refuses the single, he wants the strike for the final over
18.5 Joel Paris to Kuhnemann, no run, make that 3 in a row - fewer and angling in the body, he backs far and miscues the pull to mid-wicket
18.4 Joel Paris to Kuhnemann, no run, another dot ball, the stress is getting onto Kuhnemann - backs far to a wild swing and gets a toe-edge that bounces previous the off-stump - 10 needed off 8 now
18.3 Joel Paris to Kuhnemann, no run, a dot ball, it's 10 off 9 now , back of a length and just outside off, dabbed straight to the fielder at backward point
Matthew Kuhnemann, left handed bat, comes to the crease
18.2 Joel Paris to Neser, out Bowled!! Another massive break for the Canes, they're (Heat) making a mess of what should have been a straightforward chase - back of a length and well outside off, Neser backed far on the pull and drags an inside fringe onto his leg-stump. Heat now need 10 off 10 to win. Neser b Joel Paris 3(5)
