Guyana Amazon Warriors won by 88 runs
Player of the Match
That's that for the group stages of CPL. Next is the playoffs. We will be there. Do join us then. Till then take care and be well. Bye.
Imran Tahir | Guyana captain: that was a great game. We wanted to bat first and put ourselves in a challenging position. Feel really proud - part of the team who have done it. Going forward we want to do the same thing. that is nice to be doing the job for my team. We will probably rest and then have a small training camp ahead of the next game.
Rovman Powell | Barbados captain: that has been a very tough season for us. The plans were not executed and we struggled. He has been a nice lthattle player, one of our developing players. For me personally, the highlight has been Rahkeem's 100 at Kensington Oval. It's time for us to sit down and ask ourselves if we have given 100%. I'm still with the Royals and I think the Royals is in nice hands.
Shai Hope | Player of the Match: Today I decided to express myself and that just clicked. that was my matchup and we had a very solid begin and we had a lot of depth in our batting. Rahkeem had to take the punch but that was one of those days. Gives great confidence going in the playoffs. [on not fielding] Just a bit of cramps. [on Kevlon Anderson] I'm happy to see that he had a great day. I always believe that I can score runs in any format I play. nice pitch and I capitalised.
22:27 Local Time, 02:27 GMT, 07:57 IST: A big win for GAW. The Royals were never in it. They did not even attempt to chase that down after the early wickets. Rivaldo Clarke helped himself to a slow fifty and ensured that his side were not bowled out. GAW too were happy for things to drift as they got in their bowling practice. The Royals knew they had no scope with their NRR and therefore got that that easy. A snoozefest of a chase comes to an end and that's also the end of Barbados' campaign for this year. Stay tuned for the presentation...
