Commentary

So that's that from this Eliminator. Next up is Qualifier 1 between TKR and GAW. What a game that will be tomorrow. Do join us then. For now, it's goodbye!

King: It's similar to final year, playing our best cricket at this time. Same coaches as well. They're always willing to give their advice, during the game as well. It's been an exciting challenge (captaincy). Have had the fortune to get advice from the senior members. It's a day by day thing (his fitness). Working with the physio, still not fully fit. Hoping Amir will be ready. Fabian came up trumps for tonight. He had an incredible game. I think the bowlers made that easy for us. Wasn't the easiest wicket to bat on.

Raza: Today was just tough. Didn't think the conditions would be that spin friendly. We sat on the back foot for far too long before taking the game to the opposition. Forde has been one of the shining lights for us. He's been a real fighter in our team. If only we had a few more guys fighting like him. Given the conditions, we thought we needed a legspinner (Williams left out). I thought the selection was good. Grateful for the support.

Fabian Allen, POTM: Difficult surface. Bowling in the right areas paid off. That's what big players do. We're always ready for the challenge. Tonight was the night for me to execute. We're confident. final year we won from a similar situation. Hopefully we can do that again. We are unbeatable now.

22:21 Local Time, 02:21 GMT, 07:51 IST: Disappointment for Saint Lucia again, with the Tallawahs knocking them out twice in two years in the Eliminator. that was a nice toss to win tonight for Brandon King's team on what was a tricky pitch. Looked hard work with the bat out there with the ball not coming on, whereas gripping for the spinners as well. Saint Lucia struggled against the likes of Allen, Green and Wasim. Allen came far with his best-ever T20 figures of 4/25, helping restrict the opposition to just 125. In response, Tallawahs came hard in the powerplay with Brandon King making a quickfire 30. He got them well ahead of the rate, allowing Reifer and Wasim to take their time when things got tricky. Matthew Forde bowled brilliantly and at one stage, Tallawahs slipped to 73/4. But the above-mentioned pair played that smartly knowing the rate was under control. Just one boundary was scored in their partnership of 42 as they got their team close to victory. Dew also played a role in the second half, making that more difficult for Saint Lucia.

17.2 K Pierre to R Reifer, SIX , did that go all the way? Pulled flat and hard, beats deep midwicket's diving effort and that lands flush on the cushions. That's it, Saint Lucia eliminated, and Tallawahs are through to Qualifier 2!

16.3 Forde to Imad Wasim, out Caught by Sadrack Descarte!! Forde gets his fourth! Wasim was being more aggressive in this over with victory in sight, and it's cost him. Full on off, he looks to swipe across the line and gets a thick leading edge. It's well taken by sweeper cover running in. Imad Wasim c Sadrack Descarte b Forde 14(26)
