Cricket news - Leach signs Somerset extension until 2020

Leach has played 70 fist class games so far.

England spinner Jack Leach extended has to commit to his contract with Somerset, to the County until the end of the season 2020. The one-year extension sees Leach to continue his Association with the Somerset, the county he joined as a teenager in front of a debut for you in 2012.

Since then, Leach Somerset has represented in 70 of the First class, with 236 wickets at an average of 25.66.

"It is an honor to represent, Somerset, the club I have supported since I was a little boy," said Leach. "I am life, the little boy, the dream each time, when I'm on the T-shirt and play in front of the Somerset supporters. I am very proud to have signed a new contract with my home."

Leach's performance in the 2018 season saw him as one of England's best Spinner. He took 30 wickets in the County championship at an average of just over 24. He was also rewarded with a call up to the Test team for your round trip in Sri Lanka ended with a historic 3-0 whitewash in the favour of the visitors, where he ended up picking 18 wickets.
