His career-best of 9 for 65 was for Northampton in the 2017-2018 season, wherein he accounted for 50 first-class batsmen.

South African Test paceman Rory Kleinveldt, drew the curtains on his red-ball career, on Thursday (17. January) to Cape Cobras " six-wicket loss in the 4-day-Franchise-series against the Warriors at Newlands, via Twitter. However, it was only red-ball cricket, he called time.

Kleinveldt finished his red-ball career with only 10 wickets in the Tests with 454 first-class wickets in 148 first-class matches at an average of 27.98 for Western Province, Cape Cobras and Northampton. His career-best of 9 for 65 was for Northampton in the 2017-2018 season, where he accounted for 50 first-class batsman.

Having last featured in a Test in February 2013, the 35-year-old was an active member in the South African domestic first-class circuit, as well as in county cricket in England, where he represented Hampshire and Northamptonshire.
