Cricket news - Chris Jordan signs contract extension with Sussex

"Ever since I walked through the door, everyone has made me feel so welcome. It's become home" - Jordan

England fast bowler Chris Jordan extended his contract with the county side Sussex, on Thursday (March 28). Sussex, however, haven't provided the details related to the length of the newly penned deal.

Since his first class debut in 2007, Jordan has bagged 267 wickets and scored in excess of 2400 runs across the three formats of the game for Sussex. He has also been a regular member of the Sussex set-up since joining the county in 2013.

Jordan last played an ODI in September 2016, but he is an established member of the England side in the shortest format of the game, picking up close to 50 scalps. The Barbados-born bowler recently claimed his career-best T20 figures (4 for 6) in the series against the Windies and that capsulises his value in the shortest version of the game.

"Ever since I walked through the door, everyone has made me feel so welcome. It's become home," Jordan said after his contract was extended.
