Lamichhane exults after getting Nikhil Naik

Rabada delivers victory!

He's been exceptional in the Super Over. Concedes only 7 in the Super Over and gives Delhi a memorable victory. What a game this has been! And that's three days in a row that we've seen high quality contests in this years's IPL. Phew!

Super Over summary

Delhi start off against Prasidh Krishna, but Shreyas Iyer is caught after hitting a boundary. They finally finish with 10. Target 11 for KKR. Russell likely to come out to face Rabada.

Russell is yorked by Rabada!!

What just happened there! Kuldeep Yadav had to defend 6 off the final over and he does it! Vihari holes out to deep mid wicket, Ingram is run out off the last ball with two needed! The first tie of the IPL. Now, now, now. We're into the Super Over. Who bowls? Who bats?

WICKET: Shaw falls for 99!

He's furious with himself. He gets a top edge on the pull and it is taken easily by DK. End of a fine innings, despite narrowly missing the landmark.

Shaw keeps Delhi cruising

He's hitting a boundary of almost every ball he's facing. The game has lipped away rapidly from KKR. They look ragged on the field as well.

WICKET: Iyer falls for 43

End of an 89-run stand between Shaw and Iyer. Russell gets the breakthrough. Shubman Gill had dropped a sitter earlier in the over of the same batsman. But this time he manages to hang onto one at deep mid wicket.

Fifty for Shaw!

He's given Kuldeep Yadav a caning in the process, hitting him over cover and sweeping him. Excellent, fluent innings so far.

A steady stand

Shaw and Iyer are steadying the ship. The captain has been watchful. He doesn't seem to mind going under a strike-rate of 100. Shaw, at the other end, has been more adventurous as is his wont.

WICKET: Dhawan falls to Chawla

He comes down the track and chips a simple catch to mid off. The gamble to bowl a leggie in the powerplay pays off. Dhawan falls for 16.

Innings break: KKR end with 185

That's a total that KKR might have been happy with at the start of the innings. From 61/5, they will feel that they've climbed a mountain. The 95-run stand between Russell and Karthik has changed this game around and given KKR some momentum. Can the bowlers back this up? Remember they have only five frontline bowling options. Interesting chase coming up.

WICKET: Fifty and out

Dinesh Karthik falls after a solid hand. He departs for a 36-ball 50, edging a cut off Mishra to Pant. The bluster of Russell has overshadowed this knock, but it came at a critical time for KKR. They now have a total to bowl with.

WICKET: Russell falls for 62

52 runs came off boundaries! Russell finally gets a top edge down to fine leg off Morris. Tewatia and Rabada collide going for the catch but the former hangs on to it. End of one of the knocks of the season. Could it be a matchwinning one for KKR?

Fifty for Russell!

It has come off just 23 balls. That's three good knocks in a row for Russell to kickstart IPL 2019. He has hit six sixes so far with each being more breathtaking than the previous. Sensational knock!

A good fightback

Russell and Karthik have put on an incredible stand. It's on 63 off 39 balls at the moment and plenty of time still left to do more damage. KKR will need one of these two to bat through to get a competitive total. There's not much batting to come after this.

Russell hit by a beamer!

Harshal Patel has hit Russell with a beamer. The big man is clutching his left shoulder in pain. The physios come out, some painkillers are popped and Russell's back to batting. Still seems to be in some pain though.

Russell's in the groove

He's started off with three sixes against the leggies - Mishra and Lamichhane. The ploy to start off with spin against Russell is solid. He didn't pick a googly but still swung hard enough, and connected to get it over the ropes! Ominous signs.

WICKET: Gill is run out

Delhi's fielding has been fantastic all evening. It's Rabada again. He pulls off a brilliant stop inches inside the boundary and the relay fielder fires in a throw to catch Gill short on the third run. Gill was guilty of ball watching there.

WICKET: Harshal gets another big gun

Another excellent catch, this time by Rabada. A mistimed flick from Rana goes flying flat and quick to Rabada at fine leg. He takes a couple of paces to his left and latches on. Harshal has two in two but DK prevents the hat-trick.

WICKET: Lynn departs as well

They're 40 for 3 now. Lynn gloves a pull and it is taken brilliantly by a leaping Rishabh Pant. One-handed to boot. That'll go straight into the highlights reel for catches. Delhi all over KKR now.

WICKET: Harshal strikes too

Delhi's changes have worked wonders so far. A slower, cutter has Uthappa in a tangle and he ends up playing all over it. Trapped plumb in front.

WICKET: Lamichhane gets Naik

KKR's opening surprise has backfired big time. Lamichhane strikes with the googly but Nikhil Naik goes for a review. There is no bat on it though. He's lost a review and falls for 7 off 16 balls. A forgettable KKR debut for the big man.

Playing XIs:

Delhi Capitals: Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer(c), Rishabh Pant(w), Colin Ingram, Hanuma Vihari, Chris Morris, Sandeep Lamichhane, Kagiso Rabada, Harshal Patel, Amit Mishra

Kolkata Knight Riders: Chris Lynn, Nitish Rana, Robin Uthappa, Nikhil Naik, Dinesh Karthik(w/c), Shubman Gill, Andre Russell, Piyush Chawla, Kuldeep Yadav, Lockie Ferguson, Prasidh Krishna

Team changes: KKR have handed debut to Nikhil Naik. Sunil Narine is out with an injury.. ouch! For Delhi, there are four changes! Ishant, Keemo Paul, Axar and Rahul Tewatia are out. Hanuma Vihari, Harshal Patel, Chris Morris and Sandeep Lamichhane come in.

TOSS: Delhi have won the toss and will field first. We'll get you the team changes, if any, shortly.

Toss coming in a few moments, stay tuned! ICYMI, it drizzled briefly in Delhi earlier in the day and the square was under covers in the lead up to this match.

Standings: KKR have been on a roll! They started the season with back to back victories at home, starring Andre Russell and Nitish Rana and and with Robbie Uthappa in supporting role. Delhi, on the other hand, beat three-time champions Mumbai at Wankhede before succumbing to defending champions CSK at home in Kotla.
