Cricket news - Live Cricket Score - SRH vs KKR, Match 35, IPL 2020
SRH will hope that their tried and tested opening duo would fire
Bharath Ramaraj @Fancricket12 Karthik and pyrotechnics. The way he uses the crease... 11:59 AM  Oct 10, 2020
Karthik's flair, Karthik's pyrotechnics
Brilliant exhibition of power-hitting from Kathik! The plucky batsman used the crease brilliantly to put the pressure back on the bowlers. The way shuffled across to tonk a yorker length ball from Natarajan into the downtown territories gave a glimpse of his class.
He also stayed a couple of inches out of the crease to club Sandeep over deep square leg fence. Eoin Morgan - The calm and collected captain of KKR - also smacked a few in the final over, with KKR ending up at 163.
At one point of time, it seemed as if the Kolkata franchise would end up with a total of less than 150. Competitive score.
Big Man back in the hut
Nothing seems to be going right for Russell. The big man's eyes would have brightened when he saw a juicy length ball from Natarajan but he could only smack it to the fielder stationed at midwicket. His poor run continues. KKR slide further. Three wickets for Natarajan!
KKR stymied by two quick wickets
The runs weren't coming since the PowerPlay and the need the break the shackles was evident. Shubman Gill did it and perished, and now Nitish Rana has fallen down the same rabbit hole. He went big against Vijay Shankar but got more height that the distance. Priyam Garg takes his second catch of the day to leave KKR on thin ice.
Rana has helped KKR to up the ante. He clubbed Rashid over the bowler's head and then smacked a full toss through midwicket. Unusual for Rashid to bowl a full toss. Meanwhile, Gill has been steady and needs to hit the accelerator pedal.
However, in an attempt to press top gear, Gill fell to Rashid with Garg pouching a fine catch at long-on. He maintained his balance superbly.

And the breakthrough
Just in the nick of time, Natarajan has lifted SRH's spirits by castling Tripathi. The opener was looking in good touch, but tried to pull a shorter length delivery and couldn't make the connection.
A lapse in concentration also could have played a role in his dismissal. He was hit on the elbow in the same over and needed some medical attention. The opener would be disappointed as he was playing with flair and had got a start.
Chance goes begging
KKR have made a rather cautious start. In fact, SRH could have picked up the wicket of Gill but Rashid grassed a chance at deep square leg off Thampi. Butterfingers. Rashid seemed to indicate that sun came in his way.
SRH's seamers have bowled with penetration so far, with Sandeep generating some inswing.
Toss and teams:
SRH have won the toss and opted to field. Meanwhile, KKR have decided to pick Ferguson and Kuldeep. However, they have decided to not rush Narine. The track for the game seems to be more batting-friendly.
Ferguson could be a good addition to the side. He isn't just quick but also bowls cross seam and varies the pace.
David Warner - We'll have a bowl. The wickets have been challenging in Dubai compared to this one. Two changes for us - Thampi replaces Khaleel, we have left out a spinner
Eoin Morgan - We will have to improve our basics better, we didn't do that against MI in our last match. Two changes for us - Kuldeep and Lockie in, for Green and Prasidh. We don't want to rush Sunil back, we'll give him some time.
The sun is out and it's around 35 degrees at the moment in Abu Dhabi, so it should be comfortable for the players. We are playing on pitch number four today and that means it's pretty much even boundaries on both sides of the ground. The surface looks green, so it should offer something for the faster men. It's a pitch where you'll need to hit the deck hard - bowl short and reap rewards, say Ian Bishop and Danny Morrison, in their pitch report
Venky Mysore @VenkyMysore Thank you [email protected]? for constituting a very credible review committee & clearing @SunilPNarine74 action expeditiously. An IPL stalwart like him deserves fair treatment! ????? @KKRiders? https://t.co/iVwPs88gzR 08:37 AM  Oct 10, 2020
Two erratic sides. Two sides who have fired in fits and starts. Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders have struggled to find momentum in the IPL 2020.
KKR sit fourth on the points table while SRH follow them in the fifth spot with one less win. SRH's bowling has performed creditably while KKR's attack has put on below par performances. The point can be capsulised by the fact that KKR have taken the fewest wickets amongst all eight teams since IPL 2019.
In a major boost to KKR, Sunil Narine was cleared by the IPL's Suspect Bowling Action Committee and his name has been taken off the suspect action warning list.
Meanwhile, SRH's major concern has been their batting hasn't fired in unison. The Hyderabad franchise tends to depend on the duo of Bairstow and Warner. Williamson too has chipped in with crucial runs from time to time.
Can KKR change their fortunes under the new leader, Eoin Morgan? Or will SRH make a move by overcoming their nearest rivals on the points table?
