Cricket news - Live Cricket Score - KXIP vs SRH, Match 43, IPL 2020
KXIP come into the game on the back of three big wins
KXIP STEAL A STUNNING WIN!
SRH simply imploded at the back end. Arshdeep picked up 2 wickets and the game ends in a farcial, comical run out of Khaleel Ahmed as KXIP win by 12 runs. They've now registered four wins on the trot, and this is the lowest successful defence in IPL 2020. That was simply stunning from KXIP, they never stopped believing even when SRH were going strong. Shami and the two spinners - Bishnoi and M Ashwin - set the tone and Jordan, Arshdeep held their nerve towards the end to cap off a memorable win.

WICKETS: Holder, Rashid hole out
This isn't over! Anil Kumble is all pumped up as Holder hits a full one straight into the hands of cover. Rashid Khan hits the next ball straight to sweeper cover. Jordan gives away only three in the penultimate over. SRH are bottling this at the end but need 14 to salvage themselves from the final over!
WICKET: Shankar taken out!
He looked rattled after that hit to the face. He ends up nicking Arshdeep next ball to add another twist to the tale.
Shankar hit on the throw!
A lot of concerned faces surround Vijay Shankar who is hit on the side of the helmet by a throw during a sharp single. He's on his feet with the physio out in action.
WICKET: Pandey picked up by Jordan
A terrific catch at long off by J Suchith ends Pandey's stay and breaks a 33-run stand with VijayShankar. A boundary evens things again with SRH needing 20 from the last 3. Are there more twists to come?
Shankar, Pandey at it again
They'd have gained a lot from their stand in the previous match. The duo have looked assured against spin and are hitting crucial boundaries to keep a check on the asking rate.
WICKET: Shami bags Samad
KL Rahul has gone all out on attack bringing his best bowlers on to make the dents. Shami is bowled out by the 9th over, but he gets Samad to hit to mid off in his final over. KXIP not going down without a fight.
WICKET: M Ashwin gets Bairstow
The sweep becomes the downfall of Bairstow. He wasn't picking the variations but was still sweeping his way out of trouble. This one is pushed straighter and quicker, Bairstow misses and is clean bowled.
KXIP lose a review
KL Rahul wants quick wickets and takes a review as Bairstow misses a googly and is hit on the back leg. However the ball is tracked to be missing the leg stump.
WICKET: Warner departs
A successful review from KL Rahul gives KXIP a breakthrough finally. Warner gets a faint edge on a reverse sweep and it had been picked up by a confident Rahul. Warner departs after a 56-run opening stand.
Fifty stand comes up
Bairstow has been struggling to read Murugan Ashwin's variations, but puts his faith on the sweep - conventional and reverse. He gets back-to-back boundaries with these shots to bring up the fifty-run stand within the powerplay.
Warner, Bairstow hit the ground running
The boundaries haven't come as frequently as they'd like it to come so far but both Warner and Bairstow are putting the pressure back on the opposition by some aggressive running. Only a matter of time before the loose deliveries seep in you'd think.
KXIP kept down to 126
Holder, Sandeep and Rashid finished with two wickets apiece as SRH maintained their stranglehold right till the end. They walk off with fistbumps, clearly pleased with their effort. KXIP's bowlers will need to do something remarkable to defend this total.
SRH exceptional with the choke
They've collectively reduced the boundaries conceded to a trickle at best. There hasn't been one for a 9 over period now through the middle overs. Some terrific execution of plans and the wickets come their way as a result.
WICKET: Rashid strikes again
Deepak Hooda is caught overbalancing after reaching forward for a legbreak. The ball beats the bat and Bairstow is quick to knock the bails off. Very good cricket from bowler and keeper.
WICKET: Maxwell falls to Sandeep
SRH are simply not taking the foot off. Sandeep Sharma comes back into the attack and has Maxwell swinging down the ground, only to be taken by a diving Warner at long on.

WICKETS: Gayle, Rahul depart
Holder has Gayle hitting flat and straight to long off, and soon after Rashid Khan goes through the gate with a googly to send KL Rahul back. KXIP lose two on 66 and are kept in check.
SRH lose a review
Rashid Khan pushes for an LBW review against Chris Gayle, who has looked ominous. The ball strikes Gayle's pad first but it was pitching outside leg. Signs of desperation.
WICKET: Mandeep departs
Sandeep Sharma gives SRH the breakthrough. Mandeep tried to take on the medium pacer and ends up skying a big hit, Rashid Khan settles under it calmly and takes a neat catch.
Pratyush Raj @pratyush_RajTOI Mandeep Singh has lost his father in the morning, and now he is opening for KXIP. Respect 02:01 PM  Oct 10, 2020
What the captains said:
David Warner: I think the last game proved that a little bit of dew came towards the end. Towards the back end there was a bit of pace on the wicket. Each game presents a new challenge, these guys are on a roll and it was nice for us as well to win the last game and get some momentum. We have spoken a lot about our middle order and it was nice to see the guys play without risk in the last game.
KL Rahul: I would've liked to bowl as well. We've batted second in the last few games which we've won. The wicket shouldn't change much, it looks good. Winning obviously gives the group a lot of confidence especially when it comes against the top three teams. Different people have put their hands up in all three games which was pleasing. We had to win each game in the second half and we're taking it one game at a time.
Toss: Khaleel in for Nadeem; SRH opt to chase
Just the one change for SRH, who bring in another left-arm seamer into the mix. The more interesting changes are in the other camp. Mayank Agarwal and James Neesham miss out and in-come Mandeep Singh and Chris Jordan.
KL Rahul doesn't mention it but Mayank's absence is down to an injury, possibly picked up when he took a tumble during his run out against DC. He was visibly limping on his way back to the dugout.
The tumble that injured Mayank?
The lead-up
Two teams that have had a middling tournament so far, come into this game buoyed with the confidence of wins behind them. KXIP come into the game with a rich vein of form having scalped the top three in the points table, but SRH too will not be short of belief having registered a convincing win over Rajasthan. With the equations mid table getting tighter, each game will be of great significance. Stay tuned for the toss and team updates in a short while.
