Bangladesh Cricket Board officials said on Monday that Ban Tech, a marketing agency, has won the bid for their new home series media rights. Priced at BDT 161.5 Crore (USD 19.07 million), the broadcasting rights for the national men's team's home series will run from May 18, 2021 to October 5, 2023.

Bangladesh national team is scheduled to play nine home series during this time frame comprising seven Tests along with 18 ODIs and 19 T20Is.

Ban Tech had earlier bought the TV rights for the home series against West Indies and were the only party to have taken part in the bidding. They quoted just above the USD 19 million floor price set by BCB last month.

"Ban Tech got our media rights for next two years,'' BCB finance committee chairman Ismail Haider confirmed to Cricbuzz. "We are happy (with Ban Tech) as they managed to bid close to our expectation."

BCB had earlier sold its worldwide media rights for six years to Gazi TV for the price of USD 20.02 million that ran until April 2020. Ban Tech is now negotiating with T Sports and Gazi TV as they are the frontrunners to telecast the upcoming home series against Sri Lanka, slated from May 23.
