ALL OVER – RCB win by 54 runs
A quick end to the game as Harshal, Chahal and Maxwell dent MI. RCB pick up their sixth win and go four points clear of fourth-placed KKR. MI were 57 for no loss at one stage and then 79 for 1 before Rohit was dismissed. That triggered the collapse and MI now take a massive dent to the net run rate.
HAT-TRICK HERO
Harshal Patel has picked a hat-trick to leave MI reeling. Two big wickets first as he dismissed Hardik and Pollard and then takes out Chahar to bag three in three. Superb this from the purple cap holder.

Siraj strikes
MI sink further. Siraj comes back for his third over and strikes first ball with the wicket of Suryakumar Yadav. Slower ball outside off and he's caught at short third man.
MI 97 for 5
Harsha Bhogle @bhogleharsha Wonder about this batting order for #MI. Surely Pollard has to be no 5. 05:10 PM • Sep 09, 2021
Two for Maxwell
Krunal Pandya is struggling for form and it's hurting MI. Gets bowled by Maxwell as MI slip to 93 for 4. MI need 73 off 41 now. MI have lost three wickets in the last 21 balls.
Harsha Bhogle @bhogleharsha This game is turning. #RCB have really pulled it back. Favourites from here 05:07 PM • Sep 09, 2021
Deepu Narayanan @deeputalks Left-right pairs have to take down their favourable matchups against spinners. MI has overplayed that and let RCB spinners weave a web – 30/3 in 6 overs after PP. RCB has used the longer boundary well, making MI batsman hit against the spin. #RCBvMI 05:08 PM • Sep 09, 2021
MI hurting
It's Ishan Kishan now who has been dismissed. Chahal gets his second to put RCB on top here. Leading edge and he's caught at short third man.

And RCB have struck. Chahal breaks the partnership. Goes for the big shot and gets caught in the deep.
MI 57 for 1
Powerplay done
Strong start this from MI. Rohit and de Kock have posted 56 for no loss and the required rate is now just 7.86. Rohit has struck five fours while de Kock has got four boundaries. Pressure on RCB to break the stand and make inroads.
Deepu Narayanan @deeputalks Great match changing 19th over from Bumrah. RCB were comfortably heading to 190+. Saved 25-odd runs. #RCBvsMI 03:46 PM • Sep 09, 2021
RCB post 165
Kohli got a fifty, Maxwell got a half-century but RCB feel they could have had more. Bumrah dismissed both Maxwell and de Villiers on consecutive balls as he ended with figures of 4-0-36-3. The spinners – Krunal and Chahar – did well but Milne and Bumrah were expensive. Trent Boult was the most impressive bowler with figures of 4-0-17-1 and gave away just three in the final over.

Kohli falls
Short ball from Milne and Kohli goes after it. Easy catch in the deep. RCB captain goes for 51 off 42. Onus on Maxwell and AB de Villiers to give RCB the big finish.

RCB 119 for 2
Deepu Narayanan @deeputalks Kohli slowing down in the middle overs against spin yet again after a decent Powerplay. He is among the worst boundary hitter in this phase in the last two seasons. #RCBvsMI 03:03 PM • Sep 09, 2021
10 overs up
After the early wicket, Kohli took on the bowling and propped up RCB to 48 for 1 at the end of the powerplay. Srikar Bharat played second fiddle to Kohli, attached Rahul Chahar and also fell to the legspinner. Meanwhile, MI have dropped Kohli twice already.
