Two wins in two matches for Pakistan
Every win seems a little too special for Pakistan
Babar Azam @babarazam258 Alhumdulillah, 2/2. What an amazing display of bowling, fielding and batting against a quality side! The best part is the entire team chipping in and playing their roles in the victory of Pakistan. More prayers needed as all eyes set on the next game. 👊🙌 06:20 PM • Oct 10, 2021
Asif Ali and Shoaib Malik's late flourish helped Pakistan to ease past New Zealand's total rather comfortably in the end. What looked like a tricky chase till only a few overs back was turned on its head with successive sixes by Asif Ali off Tim Southee's last over, after the seamer had bowled three tidy overs upfront. With eight balls to spare and five wickets in hand. To not take away in this chase would be the efforts of Haris Rauf, who bowled with great pace and snared four wickets to restrict New Zealand to 134. With two wins in two matches. Pakistan look well placed to qualify for the semifinals.
The hit on Asif Ali's head by a Tim Southee bouncer is still troubling him two overs later. Another check on him by the doctor.
Two successive sixes by Asif Ali off Tim Southee has brought down the requirements for Pakistan significantly. This can be game-changing.

WICKET Fakhar Zaman's struggled stay at the crease comes to an end. He is trapped legbefore by Ish Sodhi. Even as the on-field umpire rules him not out, a good decision to review the call goes in New Zealand's favour.
WICKETTim Southee has struck. He has cleaned up Babar Azam with a slower ball after the Pakistan openers had managed a steady start. Southee becomes the third bowler to pick 100 T20I wickets. New Zealand haven't allowed Pakistan to get off in this chase easily.
HARIS RAUF LEADS PAKISTAN OFF THE FIELD: Haris Rauf nails the top of the offstump to dismiss Mitchell Santner off the last ball of the innings and restrict New Zealand to 134. Four wickets for Rauf as New Zealand struggled to score on the slow Sharjah wicket. Will Pakistan have it easier in the chase with dew coming into play? Will have to wait and find out.
Haris Rauf pace is proving too hot for New Zealand at the moment. The pacer has dismissed Devon Conway and Glenn Phillips in the same over. New Zealand are struggling to pick pace in the death overs
Fida Hussain @fidaparray010 I think Haris Rauf will be the X- factor player for pakistan against NZ and the rest of the WC. He's tailormade for the shortest format with proper pace and a few variations. #CricbuzzQnv #cricbuzz 02:28 PM • Oct 10, 2021
WICKETThe decision to attempt a quick single backfires. Kane Williamson's return to the crease isn't quick enough for Hasan Ali's sharp work.
WICKETThe decision to promote James Neesham didn't pay off. Looking to swipe Mohammad Hafeez across resulted in him holing out to the fielder at deep mid wicket. Third wicket down for New Zealand. Neesham dismissed for a 2-ball 1.
WICKETJust as Daryl Mitchell was threatening to break free, he holes out to the fielder at long off. Imad Wasim strikes right after being hit for a six.54/2 in 8.2 overs.
IN. @mran746 That was searing pace by Haris Rauf to get the first scalp 03:08 PM • Oct 10, 2021
WICKETHaris Rauf cleans up Martin Guptill only a delivery after bowling a 149km yorker. The New Zealand opener's struggled stay comes to an end. Loud cheers of ‘Haaaris Haaris' engulfs the stadium.36/1 in 5.2 overs

Hello and welcome to Match 19 of the T20 WC 2021, set to be played between Pakistan and New Zealand.
Following a historic 10-wicket win over India on Sunday, Pakistan have another point to make – against more recent foes – the genial Kane Williamson-led side. Babar Azam, the Pakistan captain, was quick to remind his team soon after the victory against India that they better not get carried away and retain their focus on the coming matches in the tournament. Which side of Pakistan will turn up today – the clinical and flawless team that showed up on Sunday or the one that doesn't do justice to the talent?
