Hayley Mathews picked four wickets
West Indies Women clinched the three-match ODI series thanks to the heroics of Hayley Matthews whose four-wicket haul led them to a second consecutive win.
Put in to bat first, West Indies Women were restricted to just 153 this time around with Deandra Dottin top scoring once again with 34. The visitors had gotten off to a steady stand through their openers but a double strike by Fatima Sana left them jolted in the 12th over. Sana had Rashada Willimas caught first, breaking a 31-run opening stand before getting Kyshona Knight for a duck in the same over.
But West Indies dug in once again through Dottin and Stefanie Taylor in a 33-run stand before Dottin was run out. While three from the middle order got into the twenties, none of them could push on for a higher score. Omaima Sohail and Anam Amin then combined to pick the last four wickets in the space of 33 balls for just 10 runs as West Indies slipped from 143/5 to 153 all out.
In the chase, Pakistan began watchfully through their openers before it was broken on 27 by Shakera Salman in the 13th over when Muneeba Ali was sent back. Hayley Matthews then had the other opener, Sidra Ameen, trapped LBW before the run out of skipper Javeria Khan triggered a collapse. Matthews and Shamilia Connell (3/18) then ripped through the lineup in dramatic fashion as Pakistan lost their last five wickets for just five runs, getting bowled out for 116.
Brief Scores: West Indies W 153 all out (Deandra Dottin 34; Fatima Sana 2-19) beat Pakistan W 116 all out (Omaima sohail 27; Hayley Matthews 4-26) by 37 runs
