The Empire State Titans succeeded in arresting their 3-game losing streak with back-to-back wins over the DC Hawks. The Titans managed two stunning jailbreaks after being skittled for 99 and 107 batting first, as two former Bangladesh internationals Ariful Haque and Tapash Baishya stifled the Hawks batting lineup on both occasions. Khary Pierre's lightning 48 and a measly spell of 2 for 9 had the Atlanta Lightning edge out Ft. Lauderdale Lions in a narrow 5 run win.

The Lions pulled one back the next day against Orlando Galaxy as Javelle Glenn's stormy 53 off 35 balls counterpunched Roohit Dutchin's dream spell of 5 for 9. The Galaxy rode on Meetul Patel's second half-century of the season only to fall short 10 short in their pursuit of 148. The Galaxy remained winless throughout the weekend as they went down without a fight to Atlanta Lightning in a rain curtailed encounter. Siddharth Matani's miserly spell of 2 for 14 held the Galaxy in its tracks, with Galaxy falling 17 runs short of the DL par score.

Chanderpaul Hemraj's swashbuckling hundred helped the Somerset Cavaliers make light work of Philadelphians' mounting total of 192. Philadelphians' captain Milind Kumar's quickfire 83 went in vain as Cavaliers raced home with 10 balls to spare. The Manhattan Yorkers pipped the New Jersey Stallions by one wicket in a tense chase of 116. Bhaskar Yadram's resolute half century kept the Cavaliers in the hunt throughout the game before a brave six from Raj Patel

Had the Cavaliers nudge past the finish line. Waleed Kareemullah's fiery spell of 4 for 19 crushed Yorkers aspirations of twin wins for the weekends as they got bundled out for 110 in the 19th over to Cavaliers' challenge of 129.

Seattle Thunderbolts took a major leap towards booking a playoff berth with resounding away wins, twice against the Hollywood Master Blasters and once over the Socal Lashings. Andries Gous remained among the runs with a fifty and a crucial 48 while the weekend also marked a welcome to form for Rishi Bhardwaj with two blistering fifties. The Thunderbolts demolished their opponents as the spin wizards Akhilesh Bodugum and Harmeet Singh kept churning out wickets aplenty. Left arm pace Phani Simhadri, a revelation for the Thunderboults this season, scalped a hattrick against the Master Blasters to ramp up his tally to 20 wickets in 8 games this season.

Spin twins Nosthush Kenjige and Adnan Haroon strangled a strong Houston Hurricanes batting line up in a measly chase of 123. Kenjige proved tough to get away in the middle overs while Adnan Haroon kept his nerve to choke the batsmen at the death as the Dallas Mustangs came from behind to grab an unlikely win by 4 runs. Hurricanes recovered from the shock defeat with an inspiring show from captain Usman Rafiq, bagging a five-fer to restrict the Lone Star Athletics to 115 as well top scoring with an innings of 29 after a brief stutter from the Hurricanes.

Ryan Scott made his presence felt this season with a whirlwind 90 off 35 balls against the Chicago Blasters. Scott's pyrotechnics lifted the Michigan Cricket Stars to 227, effectively batting the Blasters out of the game as they slumped to their seventh straight defeat of the tournament. Shehan Jayasuriya extended his purple patch with yet another fluent half century and with Zahid Zakhil coming to the party with a masterful 72 as well, the Silicon Valley Strikers notched up their 8th win of the season in as many games. Sami Aslam's valiant 65 couldn't save the Grizzlies the blushes as Pranay Suri single handedly ran through the Grizzlies batting unit with a memorable spell of 6 for 24.
