Pakistan have named an 18-player squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series in Bangladesh, starting November 19. The only change from the T20 WC squad is the absence of Mohammad Hafeez who's made way for Iftikhar Ahmed.
Hafeez Mohammad “has opted out,” PCB said in a release, following discussions with Chief Selector Muhammad Wasim so that “that younger batters can get opportunities to perform and gain international experience and exposure.”
The PCB has largely stuck with the same team management that is presently with the team in the UAE, except Matthew Hayden who is unavailable due to prior commitments, the PCB said.
Pakistan's squad for the two Tests, which will be played from 26-30 November and 4-8 December in Chittagong and Dhaka respectively, will be announced later.
