The final T20I will be played on November 22.
Bangladesh added uncapped opener Parvez Hossain and pacer Kamrul Islam Rabbi for the last T20I against Pakistan, said a Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) official on Saturday (November 20).
Cricbuzz understands that the team management asked Saif Hassan to leave the team hotel and join the Test probables in Chattogram on Sunday.
”We have added Emon (Parvez) for the last game,” BCB chief selector Minhajul confirmed to Cricbuzz on Saturday.
Bangladesh's Test probables have a preparatory camp in Chattogram that will host the two-match Test series opener from November 26 following the last T20I scheduled at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on November 22. The second Test will be played in Mirpur from December 4.
Bangladesh batting consultant Ashwell Prince and experienced local coach Sohel Islam is running the preparation camp at the port city. Meanwhile, Bangladesh is losing sleep over the availability of Mustafizur Rahman and Shoriful Islam given their respective injuries.
”Mustafizur felt a sudden pain in his side during his second over of bowling today. He will be reassessed again tomorrow and a decision will be made on whether he will be match-fit for the final T20 international of the series,” said the BCB in a statement.
A BCB official close to the team management confirmed to Cricbuzz that another left-arm pace bowler Shorfiul also received a groin injury in that match.
“He got a groin injury and we are waiting to see his condition at night,” said the official.
