Profile for Liam Livingstone. Profile Updated On 15 Friday November 2019 225613000000
With an experience of more than 40 first-class matches and a highest score of 224 in the format, Liam Livingstone is a right handed aggressive batsman from England. Liam made his first-class debut for Lancashire in April 2016 and played a fantastic knock of 70 against Nottinghamshire. As a result of Livingstone's contribution in that match, Lancashire managed to topple the 300-run mark against Nottinghamshire and managed to win that first-class encounter by 8 wickets at Manchester.
Livingstone is someone who has the ability to hit big sixes and he has played franchise cricket over the past few years. His international debut came against South Africa in 2017 at home. Batting in the middle order, Liam's contribution in that T20I series were 16 & 0 respectively after which the youngster failed to make it to the England squad. Livingstone is considered as one of the most destructive batsmen in England and one of his most scintillating knocks was his innings of 350 (138 balls) he played for a club called Nantwich at the age of 21.
Apart from his batting, Livingstone can also chip in with handy leg-breaks and is a gun fielder too. In short, he is a perfect package for white-ball cricket and definitely one of the rising stars from England.
IPL through the years
It will be the maiden IPL season in 2019 for Liam Livingstone who is among the most destructive batsmen in England currently. Not only does the Lancashire bloke have the power game but can be equally unorthodox and smart with his batting. Livingstone’s maturity is what stands out in his game and the fact that he hasn’t played much for England yet, is actually a testimony to the batting riches that the national team has. Livingstone is a proven customer in the domestic circuits of England across all formats, though he is primarily a white-ball player. A perfect package for the shorter formats, his selection by the Rajasthan Royals at the 2019 auctions was touted to be a really smart buy. Livingstone was thrown into the mix against Mumbai Indians in front of a packed crowd at Wankhede. The all-rounder was given the ball in the eighth over by Rahane in a bid to apply the brakes as Mumbai were off to a rollicking start. But Livingstone was taken for the cleaners by de Kock - carting him for two sixes in what turned out to be his only over. The Englishman couldn't contribute with the bat too with Krunal prising him out with an armer. With Ben Stokes back in the RR set-up, Livingstone was left out and he made his comeback into the team against SRH. He opened the batting with Rahane and showed the world that he has the repertoire to thrill and entertain. The all-rounder blazed away for a 26-ball 44 and gave a electrifying start for RR in their pursuit of 161, thereby living upto the reputation of a T20 marauder.
