Profile for Charlie Hemphrey. Profile Updated On 14 Thursday November 2019 032217000000
Charlie Hemphrey from Yorkshire started his career for Queensland as an opener in 2015 before he moved down the order to give steadiness to that Queensland batting order. It was not a perfect debut for Hemphrey as he was knocked over for a duck by James Pattinson in the first over of the innings. But for Queensland it was a memorable match as Chris Lynn scored a magnificent 250 as a result of which they won by an innings and 13 runs against Victoria. Charlie had also played for Kent, Essex and Derbyshire second XI before he moved to Australia to continue his cricket career.

Hemphrey who has four first-class centuries for Queensland is yet to play a noteworthy knock in the limited-over formats for the Bulls though. As he enjoys the longest format of the sport, he hasn't got enough number of opportunities in his List-A career. The Yorkshireman played his last limited-over contest for Queensland in 2016 against New South Wales. But when it comes to first-class cricket, he's a regular member of the team.

One of his distinguished performances in 2018 came against Western Australia where he scored 103* and 68* batting at number 4 and helped Queensland win that Sheffield Shield game by a gigantic margin of 211 runs. He was adjudged the Man of the Match for his contributions in that particular contest. Apart from his batting, Hemphrey can also chip is with his handy off-breaks.
