Chaitanya Bishnoi comes from a very affluent family. His grandfather Bhajan Lal was a former Chief Minister of Haryana and his father Kuldeep Bishnoi too was into politics although the latter was hugely addicted to cricket as well. It was Kuldeep's unfulfilled desire to play cricket that made him egg his son on to chase that dream and Chaitanya hasn't disappointed. A left-arm spinner who is also capable of wielding the long handle with the willow, Chaitanya made his First-class debut for the Durham University in England during the 2013-14 season. He did his higher education there and with cricket in his mind, this was only a matter of time.

The same year, Chaitanya started out in the Indian domestic season for his State Haryana. The initial phase wasn't exactly great but everyone knew about the potential that Chaitanya possessed and he had solid backing from his politician dad as well. In the recent past, the bowling all-rounder has managed to slowly get into the groove, becoming a regular starter for his side. The selection to the Chennai Super Kings outfit in the IPL is a big ticket opportunity for Chaitanya but it remains to be seen whether he gets to play or not, considering the plethora of spinners (that too experienced) CSK have.
