Profile for Nikita Miller. Profile Updated On 18 Saturday January 2020 205319000000
Nikita Miller had a superb season in 2007-08 when he was the leading wicket-taker in the Carib Beer Challenge Trophy. He also took a five-fer in the final of the domestic competition. This led to him being included for the last two ODIs against Australia in 2008. He bowled steadily and retained his place for subsequent tournaments.

He made his T20I debut against Bangladesh in 2009 but couldn't hold onto his place for long. He was recalled in 2014 to play the T20Is on the tour of New Zealand but failed to create an impact again, picking only two wickets across two games. He hasn't played T20Is since then.

He earned a surprise call to the Test squad when most of the first-choice players boycotted after a rift with the board. Miller played only one Test against Bangladesh during this period. With Sunil Narine, Devendra Bishoo, Shane Shillingford and Veerasammy Permaul coming through the ranks, Miller couldn't make his presence felt. Swiping aside the international snub, Miller spun Jamaica to several crucial victories. Notably, he was recognized as the First-Class Player of the year in the 2013 Awards function hosted by the board.

With West Indies' main spinner, Narine, deciding to pull out of the 2015 World Cup squad to give himself more time to work on his suspect bowling action, Miller replaced him in the squad. He played just the one match against Zimbabwe at Canberra, when he picked 1/48 in 6.3 overs.

Out of favour after that, Miller was recalled for Windies' tour of New Zealand and he played just the one ODI at Christchurch.
